SIDESHOW STUDIO
As a founding employee of Sideshow Studio, a Nashville-based company, I worked on a small team of designers and fabricators specializing in both traditional and modern custom sign-making. With an unmatched variety of styles and fabrication techniques, Sideshow Studio successfully bridged the gap between high design and traditional sign-making. Each sign was meticulously handcrafted with artisanal details. My responsibilities included designing and chemically aging materials to give them a weathered appearance, cutting and bending steel letters by hand, painting, running electrical components, and mounting each piece using metalworking techniques. I include this experience in my portfolio because working at Sideshow had a profound impact on my development as a designer. It allowed me to showcase my skills in both design and hands-on fabrication.
